Our Story

Recovery needs a place to land.

For someone in treatment, a safe place to sleep, basic necessities, and a supportive community can mean the difference between rebuilding a life and returning to addiction.

A note from our President

Dear Community Advocate,

My name is Marcy, and I am the President of Papilion House, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating in both Utah and Salt Lake County.

For more than 20+ years, Papilion House has had a simple mission: to provide safe, structured, and affordable sober living where people in recovery can heal, regain independence, and build a lasting foundation for sobriety.

Beyond housing, we help our residents build the skills they need for lasting independence. We provide life-skills coaching that includes resume building and job-readiness support, as well as budgeting and financial literacy coaching. We teach the foundational readiness that helps those in recovery re-enter the workforce, manage their finances, and move on to stable, permanent housing.

To keep our homes running and our residents supported, we rely on the generosity of community partners like you. Every donation — large or small — directly helps provide someone in recovery with a safe place to sleep, clean clothing, nutritious meals, and the support they need to build a new future.

Thank you for considering a gift to Papilion House, and for supporting recovery in our community.
